Cardiac arrhythmias, both in children and adults, are not only difficult to diagnose but also to manage these rhythm disturbances with emergent treatment. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy are most important modes of treatment of systemic malignancy disorders leading to varying grades of cardiac complications. The text includes the brief account of side effects and their respective management. In emergency department the attending physician (duty medical officer) may find young children and adolescents admitted with either heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, intoxicated with frequently prescribed drugs such as digitalis, calcium channel blockers, beta-blockers and other antiarrhythmics for their respective treatment, or other addictions such as alcohol and cocaine.
