The book contains 9 chapters covering practical exercises on various aspects of physicochemical and biological characteristics of water and sediment pond management fishing gears fish nutrition health and hygiene physiology and behaviour reproduction and breeding age and growth studies including population dynamics. Key for the identification of common fishes and morphometric measurements are given in chapter 9. For better understanding of the subject solved and unsolved exercises have also been included in each chapter. Experiments have been written in a manner that it will reduce life time required for instruction at the beginning of each exercise and thus to make more time available for the actual experiments.
