Product Description

“Tynor Hot and Cold Pack is a convenient device to provide hot fomentation or cold compress. Hot fomentation of the injured or inflamed area enhances the threshold of pain and thus reduces its perception. It has a synergistic effect with pain relieving drugs. Raising temperature of the injured tissue also enhances the blood supply and the healing process. Hot fomentation has a relaxing effect.
Cold compress helps in reduction of inflammation in injuries which protects by slowing the metabolic rate around the tissue, reduce oedema and bleeding. Cold compress helps in immediately lowering fever, in very high fever conditions. It can be used after an acute injury or surgical procedure.”

Instructions

1. Use this product under guidance of a qualified doctor.
2. Discontinue use and seek guidance of a qualified doctor, in case of
• Impaired sensation
• Impaired blood flow
• Allergy rash or itching
• Pain increases or persists
3. Misuse or improper use of the device can lead to adverse effects and decreased effectiveness.
4. Keep out of reach of children.
5. Rupture of gel beads doesn?t affect the efficacy of the product.

Cold Compress

1. Place in a freezer at about 0 degree for a minimum of one hour.
2. Remove and use immediately.

Hot Fomentation

Option 1: Microwave
1. Place the gel pouch flat in microwave. Heat for 45 secs on 800 watts power.
2. Remove and feel the temperature.
3. If additional heating is required , heat in 10 seconds intervals.
4. Heating time may vary depending upon the microwave oven?s wattage & season .
Option 2:
1. Heat sufficient water to boiling temperature, remove from the heat source.
2. Place the gel pouch in it for 10 minutes or until the desired temperature is reached.

Caution:

1. Kindly check carefully the wattage of microwave. Heating time may vary according to wattage.
2. Never place the Gel pouch inside a conventional oven or a toaster.
3. Always use the Hot/Cold pack with cloth.
4. Individual with problems in sensing heat or cold should use extreme caution with this product.
5. When using for treatment of post-surgical trauma, follow instructions of the Doctor.
6. If contents are exposed to the skin or eyes, rinse with water immediately. If irritation or redness persists, consult a physician.
7. Do not use if gel pack is punctured or damaged.
8. Do not sit or lie on gel pouch, excessive weight above 25Kg, may cause gel beads / pouch to rupture or leak.
9. Rupture of gel beads doesn?t affect the efficacy of the product.
10. Keep away from extreme or direct heat source.
