Product Description

Tynor ROM Elbow Brace controls and restricts degree of flexion and extension of the elbow joint through sophisticated dial system to allow a range of motion or immobilization of the elbow. Universal design allows it to be used on most of the patients and for multiple orthopedic problems

Application

1. Mobilizing brace in Stiff elbow
2. Post-operative immobilization
3. Conservative treatment of elbow luxation
4. Preventive injuries in Sports
5. Ligamentous injuries.
6. Stabilization of elbow and upper limb fractures.
7. Collateral ligament reconstruction.
8. Tennis elbow, lateral condyle release.
9. Elbow hyper extension correction.
10. Mild to severe soft tissue injuries.

Instructions

1. Use this product under strict guidance of a qualified doctor.
2. Adjust padding and strapping for secure and comfortable fitting.
3. Discontinue use and seek guidance of a qualified doctor, in case of
• Impaired sensation
• Impaired blood flow
• Allergy rash or itching
• If pain increases or persists
4. Consult your doctor in case of concurrent use with another medical device.
5. Misuse, or improper use of the device can lead to adverse effects and decreased effectiveness
6. Follow instructions mentioned on the box carefully.
7. Keep out of reach of children.

How to use

1. Loosen all four straps of the cuffs.
2. Thread the arm through the cuffs.
3. Slightly fold the arm to right angle, bring the MPGM at the center axis of the elbow joint.
4. Now slightly tighten the straps closer to the MPGM on forearm and upper arm side.
5. The bicep and wrist cuffs are adjustable to conform as per length of the user arm.
6. The position of the wrist cuff should be close to the wrist joint.
7. To adjust the wrist cuff, pull the built in locking mechanism.
8. Move the cuff to desired position and release the lock.
9. The lock will engage automatically.
10. Similarly, the bicep cuff can be adjusted to required position.
11. Slightly tighten rest of the straps.
12. Check the arm movement
13. Now the straps can be fully tighten to comfort level.
14. Straps are provided with Y hook tape clamp, the clamp can be removed to cut shorten the strap if
    required.

Angle of the Elbow or motion adjustment
• First set the Flexion angle
  1. Pull the locking pointer lightly, rotate and push at the desired angle marked on the graduated disc.
  2. Bend the arms and ensure the desired flexion angle of the elbow is attained.
• Then set the Extension angle.
  1. Pull the green color locking pointer on the extension side lightly, rotate and push at the desired angle marked on the graduated disc.

Free Arm Movement:

• When free flexion movement of the elbow is required. Place flexion knob at 120 degree and extension knob at 0 degree.

Immobilization:

• When immobilization at a particular angle is required move both, flexion as well as extension locking pointer to the same desired angle on the graduated disc. (limited up to 90?).
• For Single action locking at 90?, 100? or 110? slightly fold the forearm so that the arrow mark comes exactly in front of the marked green arrow of desired angle, at the same time push the green locking pointer to the same angle to achieve quick immobilization.

Applying Optional Arm Sling:

• Apply the strap having length adjustment arrangement with D buckle, provided in
  wrist cuff strap.
• Bring the other loose end of the sling strap over the shoulder of same elbow side and under the opposite side arm, now hook with the same D buckle.
• Remove the Y clamp hook tape fastener to adjust the sling strap, as per required comfort level.
• The sling strap can be cut shortened, if required, by removing the Y clamp.

Recommendation:

1. Do not use on unstable fractures.
2. Not for use on patients with circulatory or sensory problems.
3. Excess pull of built in Locking mechanism for length adjustment may damage it.

Product Care

• It is recommended to close hook loop fasteners before washing
• Hand wash with mild detergent and water below 30?C without wringing.
• Dry in shade on a flat surface.
• Do not dry-clean.
• Do not Iron.
• Do not bleach.
