Product Description

Tynor R.O.M. Knee Brace controls and restricts degree of flexion of the knee joint through a multi-point fixation system to allow a range of motion or immobilization to the knee. Universal design allows it to be used on most patients and for multiple orthopedic problems.

Application

1. Prevents the knee joint from unexpected load and motion.
2. Postoperative treatment and rehabilitation
3. Stability to the weak / injured knee joint
4. To prevent an excessive range of knee joint motion.
5. ACL PCL injuries

Instructions

1. Adjust padding and strapping for a secure and comfortable fitting
2. Use this product under guidance of a qualified doctor.
3. Discontinue use and seek guidance of a qualified doctor, in case of
• Impaired sensation
• Impaired blood flow
• Allergy rash or itching
• Pain increases or persists
4. Consult your doctor in case of concurrent use of the device with excessive physical exertion, it can lead to restriction of performance of heart and lungs (risk of rise in blood pressure

How to use

1. Ensure, that both the hinges are upright as per the arrow mark and the bending is in line with knee bending.
2. Affix the two hinges on the two sides of the knee joint so that the centre of the MPFGD coincides with axis of the knee.
3. Wrap the Velcro bands around the leg one by one carefully passing them through the slots in the PP buckle on the hinge
4. Fasten the Velcro strips with the reverse buckling to a comfortable, secure grip.

Angle of the knee or motion adjustment

1. First set the Flexion angle
2. Pull the knob lightly, rotate and release at the desired angle marked on the graduated disc.
3. Bend the knee and ensure the desired flexion angle of the knee is attained.
4. Then set the Extension angle.
5. Pull the knob on the extension side lightly, rotate and release at the desired angle marked on the graduated disc.
6. Repeat the above process for the other hinge.

Movement and Immobilisations:

1. When immobilization at a particular angle required
2. Move both, flexion as well as extension knobs to the same desired angle on the graduated disc
3. When flexion movement is required between any two angles
4. Move the flexion knob to the angle corresponding to higher degree of angle and the extension knob to the hole corresponding to lower degree of angle.
5. When neither flexion immobilsation or flexion movement is required then both the pins be affixed at 0 / lock position
6. When free flexion movement of the leg. Place flexion knob at 120 degree and extension knob at 0 degree.”

Product Care

1. It is recommended to close hook loop fasteners before washing
